About Me
Hi, I'm Christine Evans, Founder and President of Companion Animal Care of Brevard County, FL.
My journey to this point has been a winding path, but it's one that's led me to my true passion of caring for animals and making a difference in the lives of senior citizens.
From an early age, I've had a deep love for animals. I received my first pup (Flicka) as a birthday gift when I was five, and a white bunny (Marshmallow), soon after at Easter time. Since then, I have loved and found great joy in the many dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, horses, and even chickens I’ve cared for!
I graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Administration of Justice, and from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, completing a Master’s in Crisis and Emergency Management.
For the past eight years I have had the privilege of working with our military veterans at Penn State University. Coming from a military family myself, coupled with my experience at Penn State, I gained a profound understanding of the dedication and commitment required to serve the community and our nation.
It was this dedication and commitment that led me to a calling, like a purpose that had been placed in my heart, to combine my long-time desire to work with animals and my compassion for our senior citizen community.
With the decision to leave the University, I returned home to Melbourne, Florida in April 2023, to create a non-profit organization helping the senior citizen community and their animal companions. Since my return, Companion Animal Care of Brevard County, FL has become a reality. I’m committed to ensuring a sense of comfort, relief and reassurance to those seniors who find themselves in a debilitating health situation and are unable to care for their pets.
I hope you will join me in assisting our senior citizen community by making a donation to this worthy cause.
